Facilitation
I design and facilitate workshops to inspire critical thinking and feeling through experiential learning methods. This is inspired by my experience co-designing an immersive digital accessibility workshop for LSE staff and academics with the LSE Eden Centre and my continued involvement with the decentralised education project Antiuniversity Now.
Digital Wisdom with the College of Modern Anxiety (upcoming)
I will be co-facilitating this 5-week evening course on developing digital wisdom towards the use of social media and AI tools.
Escaping McMindfulness: On the Commodification of Craving
A discussion on the relationship between Buddhism and consumer society's dependence on perpetual craving and the promise of satisfaction. We explored the Buddhist teaching of samsara to examine how cycles of suffering are sustained under capitalism, where satisfaction and fulfilment are sought after yet never fully realised. More information available here.
Feel Tank: On Ambivalence, Dissatisfaction and Disappointment
An experiment in reflecting on and exploring the complexity, ambivalence, and perhaps nonsensical nature of feelings. More information about this on my projects page.
Critical Hedonism(s): On the Politics of Desire
A discussion on the politics of desire facilitated at a Degrowth festival with activists and campaigners from across Europe. We explored how we may desire differently in ways not dependent on economic growth and consumption, with examples from our own lives of ways we find pleasure and happiness that are collectivist and anti-capitalist.
